LITHIUM NIOBATE ELECTRO OPTIC MODULATOR

The most comprehensive range of commercial Litium Niobate (LiNbO3) Electro Optic Modulators.

Intensity and phase modulators, from low frequencies to 40 Gbps / 40 GHz and for a broad range of wavelength windows including : 800 nm, 1060 nm, 1300 nm, 1550 nm and 2 microns. When they are matched with the family of Photline Technologies RF drivers, these modulators serve all applications, from laboratory experiments to demanding industrial systems.

RF MODULATOR DRIVER

The iXblue Photonics family of RF connectorized modules includes drivers for modulators, RF amplifiers up to 40 GHz and specific modules such as D flip-flop and delay lines.

The modulator drivers are intended to feed modulators with an electrical signal exhibiting optimized peak-to-peak voltage, rise/fall time and jitter.

Photline Modulator Bias Controllers (MBC) are designed to compensate the inherent drift of Mach-Zehnder modulators due to aging and environmental variations. The MBC lock the operating point of the intensity modulators so as to keep systems and lab set-ups at their top level performance.


MODBOX


iXblue Photonics' ModBox are custom designed Modulation Units and Transmitters.

They incorporate a complete and dedicated modulation stage with power supply and control electronics and optional laser source and receiver. ModBox can be taylored to accomodate a broad variety of applications : pulse generation, pulse picking, spectral broadening, analog modulation and all formats of digital communication.

LINBO3 MODULATORS TECHNOLOGY

To produce its modulator chips, iXBlue Photonics masters the two key waveguide processes to inscribe optical waveguides in the LiNbO3 substrate : titanium diffusion and annealed proton exchange. Therefore we can select the most appropriate process depending on the final application : Ti diffusion for 1550 nm high data rate telecom modulators, APE for highly polarizing circuits and Near InfraRed modulators.

SPECIALTY FIBERS AND FIBER COMPONENTS TECHNOLOGY

Our specialty fibers preforms are produced using the MCVD process. Preforms can be further drilled, machined, grinded, polished in order to obtain fibers with specific properties.

iXBlue Bragg gratings are photowritten using either the Lloyd mirror technique or phase masks. That last process is very well suited for volume production, when the interferometric Lloyd mirror process offers an unparalleled adaptability for prototypes or low volume of specific devices.
