The company Thin Film Physics AG in CH-8105 Regensdorf was established in April 2003 and took up its operational activity shortly after. It evolved from the widely known company GRETAG IMAGING, which developed and produced sophisticated equipment for photographic laboratories.

Until the unfortunate bankruptcy, TFP was an internal production department of GRETAG (the only one), responsible for the development and production of optical elements, coatings and filters as well as for the assembly of electro-optical modules.
