General Optics

The optics still not standardized by us and is manufactured on request. Sometimes that means losses in time but enables you order what exactly you need. Stocked are many specific items in limited quantity. Following please find the specification bounds the main general optics is usually produced. Other specifications and products available on request.

Lenses. Spherical lenses plano- concave (PCV), -convex (PCX), bi-concave (BCV), bi-convex (BCX), meniscus (MNC), no micro- or polymer- lenses:

Phase retardation plates. Half- and quarter- wave in crystalline quartz:

Polarizers. Thin film dielectric, Glan-Taylor air spaced prisms. The later may be AR coated, Brewster shaped, made from material of different quality for high or low power, NIR-VIS or UV region systems  with correspondingly varying price. Standard dimensions are 10x10, 12x12, 15x15 mm. Optionally mounted.

Color glass filters. Made from Russian and Ukrainian (x-USSR) or Schott color glasses, supplied with transmission curves. Filter sets temporarily unavailable.


Polarizing Optics

Phase retardation plates. Half- and quarter- wave in crystalline quartz: 
    Standard range: 
        - MO - multiple order (1-1.5 mm or more thick), 
        - LO - low order (0.3-0.5 mm thick), 
        - ZO - zero order (compensated, thickness 2-3 mm, made of two optically contacted or for high power applications air spaced phase plates), 
        - diameter 20 mm, 
        - wave front distortion L/10 per inch, finish 20/10 scr/dig 
        - AR-coated R<0.2% each surface (high power) 
    Options: 
        - diameter from 10 to 70 mm, 
        - mounted

Nonlinear Optics

BBO. The crystals are useful for wave mixing in high power laser systems, especially effective generating into UV region up to 200 nm. High damage threshold and optical homogeneity, wide temperature bandwidth, 6 times greater than KDP nonlinearity are main advantages of the crystal. Useful as active media in pulsed parametric oscillators. Available: up to 10x12 mm aperture and 15 mm length, AR-coated.

LBO. The crystal useful for wave mixing and parametric conversion in high power pulsed and mode locked CW laser systems. Very high damage threshold compensates lower nonlinearity of about three times of KDP and makes the crystal even more efficient in some applications like frequency doubling of mode locked CW Nd:YAG. Small walk-off, wide acceptance angle, unique non critical phase matching range makes it useful for ultra-short pulse and parametric laser systems. Available: up to 15x15 mm aperture and 20 mm length, AR-coated.

AGS. The crystal (AgGaS2) useful for wave mixing in infrared laser systems. High nonlinearity makes it one of the best choices to extend you laser system spectral range down to 11 micron spectral region. Available: up to 12x15 mm aperture and 15 mm length, AR-coated.

GaSe. The crystals useful for wave mixing in far infrared laser systems. Allows to extend you laser system spectral range down to 18 micron spectral region. Available: up to 50 mm aperture and 20 mm length, cleavage cut, uncoated.

KDP, DKDP, LiIO3. Classic laser nonlinear crystals that should not be forgotten. Low price of KDP and very high nonlinearity of LiIO3 sometimes are the best choice. DKDP with 92-95% of Deuterium is widely used as electrooptic material. Available: LiIO3 up to 30x30 mm aperture and 30 mm length. KDP, DKDP -  up to 30x30 mm aperture and 60 mm length, AR-coated.

KTP. The crystals are useful for optical wave mixing, electrooptical modulation, optical wave guiding. Besides high electro-optic coefficients have also low dielectric constant. Typically used for Type II doubling of 1064 nm radiation in CW and quasi-CW laser systems at intensities up to 180 MW/cm2 with efficiency exceeding 
50% and more. Useful as active media in CW and quasi-CW parametric oscillators. Available: up to 15x15 mm aperture and 20 mm length, AR-coated.


Laser Active Optics

Nd:YAG. Classic laser active material widely used for CW and pulsed laser systems up to date. Good efficiency, high homogeneity and very high thermal conductivity keep the material still to be in use. Available Chokhralsky and horizontally grown for lamp and laser diode pumping. Each sample wave front distortion controlled by Mark-Zygo interferometer. Quality grades: selected (SEQ, distortion Lambda/12 per inch), research (REQ, L/8/"), industry (INQ, L/4/"), low (LOQ, L/2/"), all per diameter of 6.3 mm and single pass. 
    Standard range: 
        - doping level - 0.7-0.9-1.1% wt Nd3+, 
        - dimensions - square or round diameter 1-10 mm, length 0-120 mm, 
        - finish - 10/5 scr/dig, L/10, 10", AR<0.2%, 
    Options: 
        - Brewster shape, etc. 
        - mirrors, output coupler, dichroic, etc. coatings

Nd:YVO. High efficient, widely used material for diode pumped lasers. 
   Standard range: 
        - doping level - 3% wt Nd3+, a-cut 
        - dimensions - square or round diameter 1-3 mm, length 0-10 mm, 
        - finish - 10/5 scr/dig, L/10, 30", AR<0.2%, 
    Options: 
        - Brewster shape, etc. 
        - mirrors, output coupler, dichroic, etc. coatings

Ti:Sapphire. Already laser world standard broad band media used in oscillators and amplifiers of  widely tunable and ultra short pulse systems, pulsed and CW. 
    Standard range: 
        - doping level - 0.1% wt Ti3+ (1.5-2 cm-1), 
        - dimensions - square or round diameter 1-15 mm, length 0-30 mm, 
        - finish - 10/5 scr/dig, L/10, 30", Brewster 
    Options: 
        - doping level - up to 0.5% wt Ti3+, 
        - plane parallel shape, etc. 
        - mirrors, output coupler, dichroic, etc. coatings

Cr4+ Passive Modulators. Used for passive Q-switching of Neodymium laser oscillators. Compared to colored LiF crystals, these are stable in time and temperature due to their absorbing centers being regular dopants not induced grid defects. High thermal conductivity of garnet hosts, especially of YAG, and high damage threshold allows you to use the modulators for high average or peak power lasers. High extinction coefficient makes typical thickness of the modulators to be few millimeters. 
   Standard range:

        - initial transmission 20%, 
        - dimensions - square or round diameter 1-10 mm, 
        - finish - 10/5 scr/dig, L/10, 30", AR<0.2% 
    Options: 
        - host material GSGG

Also available Er:YAG, Nd:YAP, Nd:KGV and Forsterite - an attractive relatively new material offering tunable laser oscillation around 1300 nm - for wave guiding, air tracing, medicine and ultra short pulse generation.
