公司简介
Channel Islands Opto-Mechanical Engineering, Inc. (CIOME) has been in business for over 30 years. We have two main goals here. One, we believe in providing our clients with the highest quality services possible. This core belief not only applies to the services that we provide, but also the products that we create. We believe in only engineering top of the line products, and because of this belief, we are one of the most respected Machine Shops in Ventura, Oxnard, Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and throughout the entire United States. Also, we have created a web of referrals that we regularly employ when an issue arises, or if there is a particular task that we are not able to service ourselves. The second goal that we have is to provide reliable and valuable products to our clients in a timely manner. We also believe that our commitment to our staff and our clients is a component of this second goal. We believe that businesses can only get the best results from their employees when they treat their employees like people.
Here at CIOME, we are dedicated to a simple cause, and that cause is responsible business practices that help small, medium and large businesses. Following these practices has helped us to create a family environment at CIOME.
Channel Islands Opto-Mechanical Engineering, Inc. (CIOME) looks a little different today than it did when we first started, but we have continued to live by the same values.

Substrate
Material: We typically use Fused Silica or BK7 as the substrate material (the majority of what we have manufactured has used Fused Silica).
Diameter: We need to know the diameter with a tolerance. We have manufactured up to 1″ diameter. In order to minimize tooling costs, we have tooling available for 1″, .5″, and 15mm.
Center Thickness: (up to 1/4″ typically).
Wedge: Typically .5 degree up to 5 degrees.
Radius: Side 1 and Side 2 with tolerances (We typically put the Gaussian curve on side 1 with surface accuracy of 1/4 wave).
Scratch and Dig: 10-5 or better for the beam diameter. 60-40 or better outside the beam diameter.
Chamfer: Typically (.020 x 45 degrees).
Clients can either supply the substrates to us, or have us manufacture them. If you supply the substrates, we would need to know what their characteristics are, and they would need to be uncoated. (No A/R Coating.) Our coating fixture can handle up to a 1″ diameter parts.
*Note, if you supply the substrates, we will not be held responsible for replacing them if they are damaged during coating.
Coatings
Antireflection Coating: Side 2 and around the Gaussian Spot (background) on Side 1.
Gaussian Spot Specifications for side 1 are as follows:
Equation
f(r) = R * exp [-2 * (r / w) ^ n]
*This is not set in stone. If you have a different equation, we would need it.
Where
r = radius from the center of the Gaussian reflector.
R = peak reflectivity, when r = 0 (We routinely produce up to 35%. We have experimented up to 60%).
w = (radius in millimeters) waist or 1/e^2 point. (This is the point at which the reflectivity is the peak reflectivity * 1/e ^2).
n = Gaussian order (Typically 2) for single mode lasers, multimode (super Gaussian) can be up to 6 Beam Diameters.
